Our Story

Boots Bar & Grill was founded in May of 2009, and since then, Boots has become a must-stop American dining experience for everyone that passes through the community of Medora, North Dakota. Medora’s activities like hiking Theodore Roosevelt National Park, the Medora Musical, and witnessing the rich history of this town, bring people from all over the world to dine at Boots Bar & Grill.

We are located in the heart of Medora; the number one tourist attraction in North Dakota. We serve a large selection of food from juicy certified angus beef steaks and specialty burgers, to homemade pizzas, tasty appetizers, and local homemade desserts. We also carry local draft beer from Beaver Creek Brewery in Wibaux, Montana, craft cocktails perfect for hot summer day, and just about every whiskey, tequila, and vodka you can think of; except that one, we’re out of that one.

Boots is the largest restaurant in Medora, so we can fit a large crowd during those busy days in town. You get your choice of dining in an air-conditioned dining room with an outgoing atmosphere or on a quaint outdoor patio. We do have a private room upstairs with a full bar for parties, wedding receptions, or graduation dinners, that is available for larger groups if you call in advance. In the summer months, a wide variety of bands come from all over to play at Boots; which consists of great dancing music.

Our mission at Boots is to provide a lasting, memorable experience, for our guests, friends, and anyone coming through our small town. We challenge and motivate our staff to provide exceptional customer service by greeting everyone with a smile; being attentive, and having a fine attention to detail. When it comes down to it, we just want to make sure our guests have a good meal, and more importantly, a better time.
